Time for some blooms...... A little less humidity !!

Here in Missouri, summers are known for heat and humidity.
Well, this summer is no exception, except it has become excessive. Especiallly for June. We have thunderstorms about every other day.
Peoples basements are filling up with water, streams are out of their banks and high winds are causing tornados and wind damage.
The one good thing though is that every growing thing is growing by leaps and bounds. Lots of mowing, weeding, and to help out lots of beautiful flowers.
Thought I might share a few pictures I took with you
Have a great week.

  1. Yep, same here in Cincy, except we get rain some part of just about EVERY day! Yesterday it was so windy and rainy I thought trees would break. But you're right about the flowers, they love it! Weeds, too. Your flowers are very pretty.

  2. I make a motion that we have tempratures only in the low 80's thru the day and mid 60's at night with all rain in the evening after midnight and no thunder and lightning.

    All in favor say "Aye"

  5. As you know, I just got back from a trip to MO last week--despite the heat and humidity (which wasn't quite as bad as here in FL) we had a terrific time! Everything was so green and pretty, and we saw lots of lovely flowers...and some flooded areas. We weren't able to go to to one of the covered bridges because it was too muddy and wet. Hope you dry out soon!

  7. Ugh, I hear you sister! Same in RI too. Everyone is grouchy and moving at a snail's pace :P

My dog woke me up at 3 this morning when the thunder started rolling in. I had to hold her until 4:30 and I still got up at 6:30. Oy!

    Love the pics :)

  10. Hmmm...sounds like you may have it worse off there than here...yes, we have the heat and humidity and thunderstorm part, but no tornados! Goodness. This humidity is killing us! Your flowers and plants are happy, happy, joy, joy!!!

  11. Lovely pictures. I have a few roses left and some geraniums. I did have some tomatoes ripening on the bush but the birds are taking them before they are even orange and the crows decimated my apples and part of the tree. I don't have humidity and thunderstorms - wish we'd get a few this summer.
