Brother....... couldn't leave him out !!

Just thought I would let you see a picture of my Brother, so he would not be left out, since he is not a girl. What he is though is "Santa Claus" at Christmas time. I am sure you can see why. What else he is , is one of the most caring, loving, dependable, trustworthy and specially talented persons I know. That is " Brother"

  1. I have an agreement with my wife, once a year, in January I cut the beard down to stubble and then let it grow out. By winter it is long again and I put on the red suit that my lovely wife made me and have fun doing Christmas for the many friends I have.

But the best part is to walk in to a store or shop and have an adult say "you know you would make a good Santa" to which I reply " What do you mean make a good Santa, You don't think I really am?

The stammering is always fun to watch.

I have now stolen my Lovely sisters blog long enough I will give it back to her.

Some time I will tell the story of my name "Brother"

  2. Hello brother!!! You are Santa, eh??? You certainly have the most perfect beard for it! How fun for the kids in the family, and for friends!!! I always thought it would take a very loving person to play that role...you have to care, to allow little children to torture you! LOL!

  7. You all are making me blush.

I really enjoy doing Santa all year round, my favorite line is "I don't wear my red suit all the time so it is easier to check on who is naughty and nice.

  8. LOL...good one! Keep them on their toes!!! I try to think of how I can get my grandkids to behave, now, way in advance of Christmas by making them realize that YOU, Santa, are watching them year-round!!! Heee.

  9. Ok Julie you asked for it, sort of.
Many years ago I walked into a McDonald's locally to get breakfast and across the room was a mother with three small children all of them screaming and carrying on. I walked over to the table and knelt down, I am dressed in what I call grubbies, work pants and old sweat shirt, and I looked at the three and said " Ok, are you all minding your mother?" and got no response. So I said "you know I don't wear my red suit all the time, thats how I check and see if children are being good" I stood up and said "now are you gong to mind your mother" and got three children shaking their head yes, as I turned to leave the mother looked and me and mouthed "THANK YOU" to this day I suppose she uses that as she needs to.

Being Santa is fun and I enjoy it.
